Prior to joining EverWind, Mr. Chard worked with the Emera group of companies for almost 20 years beginning in 2003 in a number of roles primarily focused on analytics, energy trading, and risk management. Between 2005 and 2013, he worked at Emera Energy managing the power trading team and setting up and managing an analytics team. From 2014 to 2023, Brendan worked for Nova Scotia Power as Director of Portfolio Optimization where he was responsible for PPA negotiation, revenue, load, and fuel forecasting, tariff design, and management of the company’s hedging program for its $500MM+ annual fuel and purchased power portfolio. Mr. Chard holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree with a major in finance from Dalhousie University.
