First elected in 2017 Mayor Hnatiw lives in Division 5 with her husband Rob, where they have raised their family. Mayor Hnatiw comes from generations of farmers but has spent most of her adult life as a small business owner in the oil and gas service industry, focused on the environment and safety. As a leader, she is committed to having an opening door, removing barriers, and looking for innovative solutions to current challenges. Developing a prosperous future for Sturgeon County is a priority for Mayor Hnatiw. Diversification of agriculture and industry is one of her goals, as is the support of small businesses, all done at the speed of relevance. In her spare time, Mayor Hnatiw enjoys horseback riding, golfing, downhill skiing, and teaching yoga.
