Robert Harper, President of the Alberta Motor Transport Association (AMTA) is a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) with more than 25 years of senior leadership within the supply chain, logistics, construction, and energy sectors, bringing a breadth of expertise in operations including finance, risk management, strategic planning, and information technology. Robert leads his team with a focus on advancing strategies and partnerships that support the advancement of the commercial transportation sector, both provincially and nationally. Robert is proud of AMTA’s leadership in many aspects of the emerging hydrogen ecosystem: bringing hydrogen trucks to Alberta for hands-on demonstrations, developing Alberta’s first hydrogen fueling station for heavy-duty vehicles, navigating and identifying gaps and regulations, and providing hydrogen education and general awareness for industry, first responders, mechanics, and the public.
