Tarek is a Ventures Associate at Plug and Play, where he sources early-stage sustainability startups. He focuses on deep technologies and software that can meaningfully tackle the climate crisis. Some of his interest areas are carbon capture, carbon credit verification, scalable hydrogen infrastructure, and battery recycling technologies.

Before joining Plug and Play, Tarek worked as a Consultant at Konrad Group helping global businesses and brands develop world-class digital products and experiences. He earned his bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering at the University of Waterloo, where he spent his co-op terms working in venture-backed startups, consulting, and teaching English abroad. Outside of work, he enjoys adventure travelling, playing tennis, and finding great restaurants.
